A Carol for Another Christmas is 1964 TV movie by The Twilight Zone creator Rod Serling based on A Christmas Carol, produced and directed by Joseph L. Mankiewicz and it was produced for the United Nations as the movie no doubt was about promoting world peace.
Despite its name A Carol for Another Christmas basically tells the same story only Serling has modernised it for the 1964 audience.
Starring Sterling Hayden as the Scrooge-like character, A Carol For Another Christmas has a big name cast which includes Peter Sellers (whom Hayden had worked before in Dr Strangelove), Sellers’ then wife Britt Ekland and Eva Marie Saint.
Serling has delivered well his version of A Christmas Carol and has delivered well its message of why it is important to have world peace and what is needed to prevent a devastating future.
