The Curse of Frankenstein, released in 1957, was in the first in the series of Frankenstein films from Hammer Horror.
Starring Peter Cushing as Baron Victor Frankenstein and Christopher Lee as the creature.
Also in The Curse of Frankenstein includes Melvyn Hayes as Young Victor Frankenstein.
The Curse of Frankenstein is a pretty good effort from Hammer in telling the Frankenstein story with Cushing delivering a superb performance as Frankenstein especially with his relentlessness in creating life even though that is something that is fundamentally wrong to do.
The Curse of Frankenstein has also been served well with the framing device at the beginning and end of the film with the former seeing Frankenstein in jail and recounting to a priest what led him to his jail cell and the ending as he approaches his fate.
